Disclaimer

Last updated: September 2026

Aback ZIP tools are provided for general use, with honest limitations clearly stated.

This disclaimer describes the limitations of the Aback ZIP service.

Honest claims only

We never claim that every ZIP works, that compression always helps, or that the service works fully offline unless those claims have been verified.

No guarantee of archive compatibility

Most standard ZIP archives work normally. Some advanced, encrypted, corrupted, or very large archives may not be supported. We make no guarantee that every archive can be opened, extracted, split, merged, or compressed.

If an operation fails, the failure is local and your original file remains untouched.

Compression expectations

Recompressing a ZIP often provides little or no benefit because many files inside are already compressed. The Compress ZIP tool reports honest before-and-after sizes, including when the result is larger.

Offline claim

Aback ZIP processes files locally, but full offline operation has not been certified. Application assets are delivered over the network; we only claim local processing of your files.

No professional advice

Content on this site, including guides, is provided for general information and does not constitute professional, legal, or technical advice.

Disclaimer questions

What if a tool damages my archive?

Tools never modify your original file. Inputs are read-only. If output is ever corrupted, keep your backup and report the issue.

Why does the site not claim to work offline?

Offline support requires all application assets to be cached and tested with the network disabled. Until that is verified, we only claim local processing.
