The short version: your files never leave your device. Aback ZIP has no backend, no file upload service, and no archive-processing API.
This policy explains how the Aback ZIP website (abackzip.com) handles your data. Because the application is a static, client-only site, there is very little data to handle.
ZIP processing, including parsing, compression, extraction, splitting, merging, and inspection, runs inside your browser. Your files are not uploaded.
Aback ZIP requires no sign-up, login, or email. We cannot associate files with any identity because no identity exists.
Filenames, paths, contents, hashes, CRC values, and archive metadata are never transmitted. Analytics, where present, contain only anonymous operational events.
If an operation cannot be completed locally, it fails locally. There is no fallback server that receives your file.
What happens to your files
When you select or drop a file, it is read into your browser's memory so the local ZIP engine can process it. The processed result is offered to you as a browser download. Once the page is closed or refreshed, these in-memory buffers are released by the browser.
Files are never stored on Aback servers, because no such storage exists.
Information we do not collect
- File contents or extracted text
- Filenames, file paths, or archive entry names
- File hashes, checksums, or CRC values
- Archive comments or metadata
- Any personal information, because no account system exists
Local storage
The site may store small preferences in your browser's localStorage, such as your chosen theme and cookie consent. No files or file-derived data are stored there.
Advertising and analytics
Aback ZIP is free and supported by advertising. Any advertising or analytics provider must be evaluated for privacy implications and must never receive file contents, filenames, or archive metadata.
Advertising is never personalized using your files, and ads never block or interfere with the tools.
Third-party services
The application is served as static files from Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process standard web logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL) as part of providing the service, but does not receive your files.
Children's privacy
Aback ZIP is a general-purpose utility and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because no personal information is collected, there is nothing to delete.
